Carlisle to Thurso August 16th

Got away from Carlisle around 9:30 am.  It had rained in the night but the sun was out when we left.  However the wind was biting so it was a long pants day. The drive as far as Inverness was uneventful and smooth sailing.  Dual carriageway all the way.  After Inverness the driving gets a bit trickier as the road is narrow and winding.  Scenery is great though. The weather just couldn’t make up its mind.
